We recommend using the following tips to keep your hard drive safe. If you accidentally hit your hard drive with your hand or bump it against something, you should immediately turn it off and unplug it.
Then, place it back into its proper position. Turn it on, wait several minutes, and unplug it again. Wait at least five hours before plugging it back in again.
